Our team successfully executed the drywall and acoustical ceiling scopes for 801 Chophouse, an upscale steakhouse located in Tysons Corner, VA. The project demanded a high level of craftsmanship to achieve the sophisticated finishes consistent with the restaurant’s brand nationwide. Intricate ceiling systems, custom finishes, and complex geometries were key elements of this award-winning scope.
Scope of Work Highlights:
Specialty Ceiling Installation
- Installed 1,000 SF of USG DXI Grid with Mars 2’x6’ Plank Tile, all custom color-matched.
- Integrated grid and tile into curved bulkheads and light coves in the bar area, creating a seamless aesthetic in one of the restaurant’s most prominent spaces.
- Delivered over 4,500 SF of drywall ceilings, coordinated with lighting and architectural features.
Bulkheads & Architectural Detailing
- Constructed 2,300 LF of straight and curved bulkheads, blending structural requirements with architectural intent.
- Executed complex elevation changes and transitions, particularly within the curved surfaces surrounding the bar.
Feature & Area-Specific Work
- Assisted in the assembly of the bar itself, a central design element of the lounge area.
- Delivered high-end detailing in Private Dining Rooms, including custom coved ceilings.
Recognition
- The exceptional quality and attention to detail across every phase of this project earned Tricon Construction a Craftsmanship Award from the Washington Building Congress (WBC).
